Submissions

Please prepare your manuscript following the instructions for authors given below before submitting it online. Basically, the Jurnal Media, Pendidikan, Gizi, dan Kuliner follows the author guidelines.

1. PREPARATION & USE OF WORD PROCESSING SOFTWARE

It is important that the file be saved in the native format of the word processor used (.doc or .docx). Please use the official template for preparing the manuscript. Manuscript must be written in proper English or Indonesian with good and correct grammar. Any foreign terms used in the article should be written in italic format.

2. MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE & COMPONENTS

Manuscripts should be prepared in the structure of article as follows:

2.1. Title, Abstract & Keywords

• Abstract: It must be concise, containing objective, methods, results, discussion, and impact. The abstract word count must be between 200-250 words, written in English.
• Keywords: Author(s) must provide Provide 3-5 keywords arranged alphabetically. 

2.2. Main Text Structure

• Introduction: It is mandatory to explain the objectives of the work, as well as an adequate background, a literature review, a summary of the results.  Authors should explicitly state the gap analysis and the novelty of the research. Include citations to other articles that demonstrate the distinctions between your article and those previously published. The objectives must be placed at the end of this section.
• Material and Methods: It is mandatory to explain sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. This section should cover the research design, time, research population/sample/ subject, sampling method, variable, data collection, and analysis method. For laboratory/experimental research, clearly specify the instruments and primary materials used.
• Results: Results should be clear and concise. The results should summarize scientific findings rather than provide raw data in extensive detail. Ensure all tables and figures have clear, self-explanatory captions.
• Discussion: This section must be supported by comparison with theory and previous studies. It is mandatory to put references. Explore the significance of the results, do not repeat them. Address these core components: How do your results relate to the original objectives (what/how)? Do you provide scientific interpretation for each finding (why)? Are your results consistent with what other investigators reported (what else)? This section must include the advantages and disadvantages/limitations of the study.
• Conclusions: It must be about 5 sentences and must be correlated to the abstract and objective. The conclusion should directly answer the objectives of the study and be based purely on the results and discussions. Add concrete suggestions or feedback for future research.

2.3. Nomenclature, Units, & Math Formulae

Follow internationally accepted rules and conventions: use the international system of units (SI). Please submit math equations as editable text and not as images. Add number for math formulae. Decimal numbers must be separated by a period (.). Equations should be written clearly using proper formatting tool (e.g., Equation Editor):

2.4. Tables & Figures

Please submit tables as editable text and not as images. The table must only have horizontal lines, without vertical line separation (open-table style). Put the title above the table (align left, bold, Capital Each Word) and notes/footnotes under the table body. Figures: Supply captions of figures separately. Put the title of the figure/chart under the figure body. Keep text inside the illustration to a minimum and explain all abbreviations used.

2.5. References

Author(s) must use APA 7th edition for in-text citation and references. We strongly suggest author(s) to take reference from article journal if it is possible.

• Reference Quantities: All research reports must have at least 15 valid references. 80% must come from publications in the last 10 years, containing at least 40% of primary references (scientific journals, theses, dissertations, proceedings).
• Digital Object Identifier (DOI): Authors should provide a valid DOI number/link for each reference, especially for journal articles, to ensure cross-referencing capabilities.
